Nurse Delegation Training : Special Focus on Diabetes

Nurse Delegation Diabetes: for Nursing Assistants and Home Care Aides, is a DSHS course designed to provide an overview on diabetic care. This course is the Nurse Delegation Course required by DSHS for CNAs and HCAs who want to work above their scope of practice, increase their understanding of blood glucose and insulin, and administer insulin and diabetic injectable medications to patients as authorized and supervised by a nurse delegator.

CEUs: 3 hours DSHS approved continuing education hours.

FINAL EXAM Proctoring:

This course requires that you complete from a computer with working video and audio. A phone will not work to complete the exam.

The exam  is proctored -- that is, it is monitored by an approved instructor in our Virtual Classroom. Please book a virtual testing date from the days/times listed below. 

If you need to come in to the office to take the test you can call (425) 689-1212 and arrange to use one of our computers or use a computer at your local library at the scheduled test time. 

  • Monday afternoons @ 3 p.m.
  • Wednesdays @ Noon (12:00)
  • Friday mornings @ 9 a.m. 

Once Registered:  You will receive an email that will include: Your course information and an access code for this course. 

 

Your course Certificate will be sent once class is completed and you have scored 80% or above on the exam. You MUST complete the course survey for the course to complete.Your certificate will show in Transcripts once you have completed the Course Survey after passing your test.  Journey University is always looking for ways to improve our courses and we value your feedback. 

Retakes: If you do not pass your exam and require retesting, Journey University requires 48 hours between tests. If you do not pass your second test, you may be required to repeat the course.
