Nurse Delegation- Diabetes : Self-paced

Nurse Delegation Diabetes: for Nursing Assistance and Home Care Aides, is a DSHS course designed to provide an overview on diabetic care. This course is the Nurse Delegation Course required by DSHS for CNAs and HCAs who want to work above their scope of practice, increase their understanding of blood glucose and insulin, and administer insulin and diabetic injectable medications to patients, as authorized and supervised by a nurse delegator.

This course requires the student be monitored for the Final Course Test must be monitored by an approved instructor. Please select a virtual testing date from the listed events below. You will recieve your test password once you log into the virtual classroom. This course requires that you complete from a computer with working video and audio. A phone will not work to complete the exam. If you need to come in to the office to take the test you can call 425.689.1212 and arrange to use one of our computers or use a computer at your local library at the scheduled test time. CEUs: 3 hours DSHS approved continuing education hours.

To register for a test date: Once you purchased the course you will have access to select which date you would like take you FINAL EXAM. Select the date (virtual Test Proctoring) you will see a blue button that says register

Once Registered:You will receive an email that will include: Your course information: virtual classroom access information, and an access code for this course. 

Textbook: A downloadable copy of the text is free with course and accessible through the course.

The day of the course:you will be able to access all modules of the course. It is expected that everyone who participates has a camera and microphone.

Certificatewill be sent once class is completed and learner has scored and 80% or above on the exam. Your certificate will show once completed on your Journey University User profile. You can download it from there. 

Retakes: If you do not pass your exam and require retesting, Journey University required 48 hours between tests. If you do not pass your second test, you may be required to repeat the course.

You MUST complete all required videos and the course survey for the course to complete.
