Dementia, Capable Caregivingis a DSHS course designed to provide an overview on type of dementia, handle challenging situation, recognize hallucination and delusions, and improve communications with a patient with dementia. This course is directed toward healthcare personnel in long term care settings.

To register for a course date: Once you purchased the course you will have access to select which date you would like to enroll in the course. Select the date, you will see a blue button that says register. 

Once Registered:You will receive an email that will include: Your course information: virtual classroom access information, and an access code for this course. 

Textbook: A downloadable copy of the text is free with course and accessible through the course.

The day of the course:you will be able to access all modules of the course. It is expected that everyone who participates has a camera and microphone.

Certificate: will be sent once class is completed and learner has scored and 80% or above on the exam. Your certificate will show once completed on your Journey University User profile. You can download it from there. 

You MUST complete all required videos and the course survey for the course to complete.
