Mental Health, Level 1: Capable Caregiving for Mental Wellness Mental Health, Level 1: Capable Caregiving for Mental Wellness is a DSHS course designed to provide an overview on mental health disorders, how to provide compassionate trauma informed care, how to respond to crisis and challenging behaviors, and reduce suicide rates. This course is directed toward healthcare personnel in long term care settings.
Dementia, Capable Caregiving: is a DSHS course designed to provide an overview on type of dementia, handle challenging situation, recognize hallucination and delusions, and improve communications with a patient with dementia. This course is directed toward healthcare personnel in long term care settings.
Traumatic Brain Injury: Strategies For Surviving and Thriving: is a DSHS course designed to provide an overview on types of traumatic brain injuries, how a traumatic brain injury effects a patient and their care team, the physical and cognitive changes that a patient may experience with a TBI, and how to support a patient during their recovery. This course is directed toward healthcare personnel in long term care settings.
Certificate will be sent once class is completed and learner has scored and 80% or above on the exam.
CEUs: 8 hours DSHS approved continuing education hours.
